The Department of Geography was founded with the start of the study at Girls’ College of Education in Jeddah in the academic year1394-1395 AH.  3428 BA students graduated from the Geography Department by the end of the year 1428 AH. Therefore, the department is considered one of the early literary departments in the college. In the academic year 1398-1399 AH, a program of Geography Diploma was started with only four students enrolling
